What to do when you are feeling low

Some tips to make u feel better when u are feeling low:

Meditation
By meditating, you are able to access your inner emotions and release negative energy, thus improving your health and increasing your energy level. It’s a way to transform and heal yourself mentally as you allow the swirling of ideas and random thoughts in your head to slow down to the point where you find a calm and positive connection within yourself.
Though there are many different kinds of meditation, all of them point in the same direction that is by reconnecting with your innermost self. Mediation is an amazing way to lift your mood. It works all the time, whether you are down, anxious, sad, angry, or have any other negative feelings. Other than meditating, you may also choose to relax to affirmation tapes. Some recommended authors include Louise Hay, and Dr. Wayne Dyer.

Watch Comedies
Laugh, Laugh and Laugh! Watch comedies and cartoons. Bring the child inside out. Watch Korean serial dramas or romantic English comedies. Watch your favorite cartoons from childhood. Remember the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine!” Just laugh, laugh, laugh! Laugh for as long as you can. If you can laugh for twenty-four hours, go for it. Tell jokes to friends and go out to see comedy nights.
Note: You may not feel like laughing at first. You may have to force it in the beginning, but it will get easier, trust me. This is probably the easiest and enjoyable treatment of all. Laughter creates endorphins that act as natural painkillers and mood elevators. It also boosts red blood cells and t-cells that help build the body’s auto immune system and helps fight disease.

Setting Time Aside to Cry
It’s good to be positive, but it’s not realistic to be positive at all times. Acknowledge how you are feeling, especially when you are feeling down. If you need to cry, the cry! Write a letter or talk to a loved one. If you don’t wish anyone to know how you are feeling, write a letter and then burn it or simply talk to yourself.
By acknowledging your feelings, you would almost immediately feel better. Say to yourself, “I am feeling down and angry with the whole world.” When you say what you are feeling, acceptance falls into place and you allow yourself to feel better.
What to do when you are feeling down:
1) Socialize and Think Positively
You are what you think. Though you may not feel like socializing and would rather be alone, it is important to force yourself to get out and meet a friend, go to a movie, or do something other than isolating yourself.
2) Do Something for Yourself
Love yourself. Do what you have always wanted to do. Buy that dress or handbag that you always wanted. Go for a trip or get that daring hair cut.
3) Give Something to Someone Else
It can be as simple as a smile. By giving something to someone else, you immediately feel better and this has a positive influence on your body and mind. You can give someone your time or money.

LASTLY, MAKE SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING LOW FEEL BETTER AND U WILL FEEL BETTER INSTANTLY!!!

Knee Operation

My lil bro in Aussie had a knee operation to have a cancer tumour removed. He is only 17. I admire his strength!! Go!!!!!

Lets send out positive energy to him!!! Go!Go!Go!

Organic Food

One of the first things i recommend when i hear that someone has cancer would be to start switching your food to an all strict organic diet or eating as much organic food as possible. It may or may not be true that organic food is more healthy than normal food but at least you would not be eating the chemicals in processed food when you eat organic food. Organic food contains lesser or if any at all fewer traces of pesticides and herbicides. Also, ensure that you always wash your fruits and vegetables well. Supermarkets normally sells special vegetable wash that would remove impurities stuck on the fruit or vegetable. Whether organic or not, remember that bacteria thrive under all conditions and just because it is labeled organic does not mean that it is safe without a wash.

People normally complain that organic food is expensive but it actually saves you more money in the long run. As organic food tend to be slightly more expensive, you will eat lesser and thus maintain a better diet and not really worry about being obese. Doctor and hospital bills, weight loss programs are some of the unknown expenses. When eating organic food, you will feel full faster and longer and your money will go further eating quality organic food in smaller amounts.

You can start switching to organic diet either immediately or slowly, although the latter is recommended. If you are choosing to switch slowly, below lists the most crucial food and vegetable to switch to as they are most vulnerable to too many pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics. Home washing and cooking practices for these foods are also unlikely to result in the reduction of the chemical and hormonal residues. The food includes but not limiting to:

-Beef, chicken and pork

-Dairy products like milk, butter, cheese

-Strawberries, Raspberries and Cherries

- Apples and Pears

- Tomatoes

-Spinach and Salad Greens

- Coffee

-Celery

- Capsicums / Bell Peppers

Tips on Choosing Organic Food:

- Always read the labels carefully on organic food. Some products seems organic but in actual fact contains very little organic components. One of the items include breakfast cereals.

- There is a difference between organic and natural. In most places, natural means nothing other than what the manufacturer wants it to mean as it is an unregulated term.

Also, be careful of industry propaganda in bettling organic efforts. As profits is at stake, there is plenty of propogandas going on to stop you from making the right choice for you and your family.

Moi beloved granny is ill..

My granny had fallen ill these few days.. we are all spending as much time as we can with her.. The past few nights, she has been hallucinating especially at night and she has been telling us how she is seeing things. It just made me recall the day before my beloved mother passed away. The night before that fateful day, i was alone in the hospital with her where she suddenly started talking to “others” and talked as if other people was in the room. I freaked out and called the nurse frantically. Moma K told me not to be scared and hug her the entire night and say all my love to her. Few hours later at 7am in the morning, the doctor told me that my mother was passing on. I did not expect it at all. And now the whole thing is repeating again, and my granny has mentioned that she had seen my mother and a very beautiful house like paradise. Funny thing is she starts hallucinating only at night which is really scary. Last night, i was dead asleep after not sleeping the entire night before from taking care of her  when Mar woke me up and said my granny said things that really freaked her out(that someone was standing outside the door). Then Darti came in feeling scared because granny said to her to put the pillow down next to Darti because someone wants to sleep next to Darti. In the end, our uncle and aunts rushed down.

Granny is lots better now and i’m actually dreading night time to come. God Bless my beloved granny. Spending as much time as i can with her…

What to do when you are feeling low

It can even be a smile! By giving something to someone else, you almost instantly feel good and this has a positive impact in your body and mind. You can give your time, money and even body(kidding).

Reflection of Moi Granny

My granny  is a little unwell today and off we went to the Doctors. I’m typing this while we are waiting at the Doctor’s right now.  As i look at her blue grey eyes, i am reminded of how i noticed that she is stronger than lots of other people, me included. Some of the things i have observed her doing over the past few years which i believe contributes to her health includes:

Mediation- She prays religiously which a form of meditation

Ginger Tea-She makes her own ginger tea to detox. Slice ginger into extremely thin pieces and boil them in water.

Coconut Oil- She puts coconut oil in her hair and i’m not kidding about this, her hair is more than 90% black for her age!!! Very little white/grey hair!!She used to make her own coconut oil, where she would scrape the coconut, take the top layer of the scraped coconut, cook the scraped coconut till it boils and then take thickest of the cooked scraped coconut and fry the it till it becomes oil. Cool it down and then put into a bottle. It can last for about a year. 1 bottle =4 pieces coconut.  But alternatively, you can just buy a bottle of “Parachute” oil from the Mama Shop. It saves all the hassel. And of course, she is using Parachute oil now.

Vegetables-She definitely eats more vegetables than meat

Belief-She believes in Higher Creator/ Power/God

ZZZ- She wakes up early before the sun rises and sleeps by 10pm

However,my poor granny is down with a cold now.. Do send her some positive energy people…The last time she got a cold, she ended up in the hospital for more than a month… Please send some positive energy…Thank You…

Staying Happy :)

This post is updated: After writing this post, i received a forwarded email which is relevant to this post; maybe its coincidental, maybe its not..

So what do u do when u feel low? When u suddenly received the unexpected news or saw something terrible and it is affecting your sleep? It has happened to me a couple of times this year and last night it happened again just before bedtime. It was hard to think at that moment that everything happens for a reason and is a blessing in disguise. As a solution oriented person, i started thinking of solutions but emotions overwhelm me.( P/S: I am ok, you all will actually laugh if u know what i’m sad about..but i will never tell u)

My personal advice is take a break for that moment. Depending on the situation, take a break for a couple of minutes, a day, a week or a month. Sometimes unexpected life changing news may suddenly come, leaving u vulnerable. Its ok to feel that way. Take a BIG BREAK if you need to. Acknowledge that you are feeling low. Accept it. Do something that you like, even if you don’t feel like doing it. Last night, i turned on the music, ate my favourite toblerone chocolate, and put on moi lovely dresses. And as i started becoming sleepy as it past moi bed time, my mind refused to sleep because i was still low. And so i told myself.. I saw how midnight was approaching and a new day was starting, so a new day shall begin.. I started to slowly smile as the clock turns to 12am…though i was still very sad, i started feeling better, and i finally went to bed close to 2am..

And today, i overslept by 2.5 hours. I was supossed to wake up at 5am, yet i woke up at 730am. I had two choices when i got up and saw the time, to feel terrible and start cursing or to accept the situation and start smiling. So i choose the latter.. and though i’m behind work a little now by 30 mins, i managed to do my 2.5 hours work in about 1 hr 15 minutes. (P/s: Updating this blog is part of my work too to serve all of you) Hence maybe i realised i can actually do my normal work at a much lesser time. What a Blessing in Disguise!!! Imagine if i had chosen to feel the other way, to feel horrible and angry and to complain non stop about how i woke up late? Its just a waste of negative energy…

Life is about choices..You can choose how you react to a situation and You too can choose your destiny..

The Email

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a
stone and scratched lines on the side of the car.
In anger, the man took the child’s hand and hit it many times not
realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple
fractures.

When the child saw his father….. with painful eyes he asked, ‘Dad
when will my fingers grow back?’
The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked
it a lot of times.

Devastated by his own actions…… sitting in front of that car he
looked at the scratches; the child had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful,
lovely life & remember this:
Things are to be used ! and people are to be loved.
The problem in today’s world is that people are used while things are
loved.

Let’s try always to keep this thought in mind:
Things are to be used,
People are to be loved.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character; Watch your character; it
becomes your destiny.
